During Frieze London, Abu Dhabi-based property developer Aldar announced plans for NOMA, a new development in Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Cultural District. Its name derives from its location, ‘North of Manarat Al Saadiyat’.
The project forms part of the continued development of Saadiyat Island, where several major cultural institutions have opened or are under construction.
The announcement comes ahead of the inaugural Frieze Abu Dhabi, organised in partnership with the UAE’s Department of Culture and Tourism. The NOMA site, which previously hosted editions of Abu Dhabi Art, is set to become one of the fair’s venues when it opens in November 2026.
